The SureGuard Correctional Safety Restraint Chair™ is intended to help control combative, self destructive, or potentially violent detainees. If used properly it can reduce the risk of physical harm to both the detainee and staff. Violent behavior may mask dangerous medical conditions; therefore detainees must be monitored for and provided with medical treatment if needed. Detainees should not be left in the SureGuard Correctional Safety Restraint Chair™ for more than two hours. The SureGuard Correctional Safety Restraint Chair™ should never be used as a means of punishment.
Chair Cleaning Instructions
The SoftGuard Medical Safety Restraint Chair™ will need to be cleaned and sanitized after being used, and we recommend mixing one cup (8 fl. oz.) of bleach with one gallon of hot water. You can use this solution on the chair frame and all straps. As an alternative, any appropriate bleach wipe can be substituted.
