The teeth on the cam can wear over time, and the spring can lose its tension. It is recommended that both be replaced at the same time and therefore they come in a set. If refurbishing all cams on the SureGuard® Safety Restraint Chair or the SoftGuard® Safety Restraint Chair, you will need six (6) sets; two for the wrist straps, two for the ankle straps, one for the lap strap, and one for the shoulder harness. If you are replacing the cams and springs on the or the Medical Safety Restraint Chair(TM), you will need only two (2) sets.
